Special Event Liability

In the world of nonprofits and social services, special events play a key role in raising awareness of your mission or to raise funds to help maintain or ensure the continuance of your vital services.  Special events can bring many exposures not anticipated in your normal everyday operations, and many times, these events are not covered under your regular commercial insurance policy.

Special Event Insurance can provide protection in the event a volunteer or participant injures themselves or causes property damage to a third-party's property. If the event is off premises, the venue may require you to carry this coverage and to be added as an 'additional insured' to the policy.

If you plan on serving alcohol at your event, Liquor Liability Insurance is often excluded from your General Liability policy. A separate Liquor Liability Insurance policy may be needed.
