Medical Malpractice Liability

Medical Malpractice Insurance (also known as Medical Professional Liability Insurance) helps protect physicians, psychiatrists, medical directors and various other medical professionals against claims arising out of professional errors, omissions or mistakes. It does not cover intentional, criminal acts, sexual misconduct or inappropriate alteration of medical records.

Without malpractice insurance you can find yourself liable for expenses resulting from a lawsuit, in addition to being held personally responsible for any settlements or judgments. Most states do require medical malpractice insurance and it's important to know your states requirements.
