With a deep and personal interest in child welfare, adoption, foster care, and non-profit and for-profit service organizations, the professional staff of Hawley & Associates offers the experience and expertise to serve your organization responsively and effectively with insurance services. Our agency principals have over 20 years of insurance and risk management expertise with national and international non-profits in health care, child welfare, professional treatment, adoption and foster care, as well as charitable organizations.

Phillip K. Hawley, President, has been in the commercial insurance industry for over 20 years, beginning as an underwriter. Before founding Hawley & Associates in 2005, Phil had attained the position of Vice President. His employers have included The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, Caliber One Management Company, PMA Capital, and Zurich North America. Coming from a family with strong personal and professional ties to adoption, Phil founded his current company in response to the insurance needs of child welfare agencies. Since its founding, Hawley & Associates has grown to number over 60 adoption and foster care agencies in the world, among them some of the most prestigious names in the industry.

Sarah W. Lormis, Senior Vice President, comes to Hawley & Associates with over 12 years of experience in commercial insurance. After graduating from the University of Washington, she began her career with Chubb as an underwriter, later working with other large corporations such as The Hartford and Zurich. Sarah brings a wealth of technical expertise as a result of years of underwriting experience. She has proven to be successful in sales and marketing roles, winning national sales competitions. Sarah has a passion for children and is excited to work for an organization where she can transfer her skill set to have a direct impact on the well-being of children. In her spare time, Sarah chases after her beautiful and energetic 6-year-old son.

Donna Hawley, Vice President, brings 22 years of experience as a PHR-certified Human Resource consultant and director to Hawley & Associates. She acts as the HR Director for the company and advises clients on matters of HR-related risk management and loss control.

Wayne Hawley draws on 40 years of experience in health and social services consulting for government and non-profit agencies to provide our clients with expert advice on legal affairs, licensing and regulations. Wayne has a BA in psychology from Seattle Pacific University as well as Masters Degree in management psychology and theology from The San Francisco Graduate School.

Christen Aring was drawn to the Hawley & Associates team and our adoption specialization, because she herself was adopted. She is a licensed property and casualty agent serving as our National Account Executive. Christen brings with her several years of sales experience including Store Sales Manager for AT&T wireless, inside sales with a national promotional supplier, technical recruiting, with a niche in business continuity, risk management and IT security. Her true passion is in the field of risk management and working with organizations that strive to make a difference in the hearts of children, youth and adults.

Adam Rogers is a National Account Executive with a passion for community improvement and youth involvement. From his own past experiences, he has a firm belief that cultural exposure and awareness are vital to the upbringing of our future generations. Adam seeks to improve the quality and safety of summer/church camps, volunteer and community outreach and adventure programs/retreats for world travelers and our youth for years to come.

Cari E. Maciolek is a skilled senior account manager with 15 years insurance experience and a strong commitment to client service.
